Boot Camp By Byron Hughes

   Boot camp by Todd Strasser is a very interesting book it is the type of book that will have you thinking what will happen next because they are always talking about something and having you think. Boot Camp is a bout a boy named Garret who's parent's sent him to this camp because they believed he was begin disobedient and not following their rules, also they sent him their because he is seeing one of his teacher's and they don't want him to but he still see's her because he loves her. Another thing is that in Boot Camp they test Garret and see if he will break like they have circle where they talk and Joe the leader of part's of the camp and he's always pushing him by saying how Sabrina Garret's girlfriend will not wait for him because at the camp they are not allowed to have outside contact besides your parents. But Garret is smart and wise, he think's before he does something and think's of the bigger picture and think's of the consequences.

   
  In this book you have Joe he is like the leader of the camp and he is always pushing Garret to break the rules so he can punish him for it. One time that Joe was pushing Garret to fail is this one time in the cafeteria (people who just got there are not allowed to talk unless asked something by people in charged) when Joe started to ask Garret in front of the hole cafeteria why was he sent to the camp and garret didn't have a answer so Joe kept asking him and pushing him to answer, until he gave an answer which was that he didn't know. Joe would go on and tell the hole cafeteria why Garret was sent to the camp, Joe went on to say how Garret was here because he was sleeping with one of his teachers, doing drugs, not coming home when his parents told him to, and ditching school. Garret eventually told Garret what he wanted to hear that he was right but truly Garret thought that he was right and that his parents shouldn't have sent him to that camp, he thought his parents didn't understand that he actually loved his teacher and that he believed that he didn't need to go to school because he had the highest grades in his class and always was on tract with his work. At this point in my book Garret is trying to escape but he is not jumping into it because he knows if they find out they will probably kill him so as Garret and his two other friends in there try to escape Garret has to think of the consciences and  think is it worth it if he gets caught and maybe get killed.

     This book boot camp by Todd Strasser is a really great book and it will have you wondering what will happen on the next page and you should really get this book. I believe one way this book can relate to the real world is how if you are disobedient to your parents they will probably take action and sent you somewhere to insure you get better, just like how Garret's parents acted towards him when they thought he wasn't following there rules. Overall this book shows how if you don't follow your parents rules they will punish you for it and you will regret you did follow their rules.
